New for 2016

We would like to thank our customers for their patronage this past year. We look forward to your continued patronage in 2017.

FALL is upon us and we all will be spending more time at home.  Its a good time to spruce up your rooms. Maybe some of your artwork needs rematting or framing. These small touches can give you a new look. If you would like me to come to your home to make suggestions, please call and talk to Kay Hubbard

GALLERY NEWS

We have done lots of appraisals for art collectors this year.  May we remind you to have your artwork appraised for your insurance file.  Its also costs little more to itemize your artwork and list as total replacement value on your insurance policy. We charge 50.00 an hour but most appraisals don't take more than a couple hours.  Worth it though for if heaven forbid you had a loss.

WHAT'S HOT
I have left some of the information on the 2016 log as 2015 because some of the same colors are good this year.  I want to add seafoams and gray to our color palette and al Combine this with soft white woodwork and mouldings against these colors give a great accent pop to your artwork and accessories. Try to have a continuity
run through your home.  New color to consider is Silver Gray, lovely with white woodwork too.
Tuscan Decor, Khaki,  muted reds are still popular colors in most of the country, but consider a touch of seafoam. This is great with taupe's and creams too. For our traditional clients, real wood is good. Here is a tip! Add something "unexpected" into your design. If your house is contemporary, frame a piece of art or mirror in a baroque frame. Mix your art up, you don't need one style of artwork. If you have a traditional home, try a contemporary piece and see how it fits in.  When it comes to accessories, think bigger. We all have too many small collectibles; like a painting has a focal point, so does a room. If at all possible, buy a piece of original art. At our gallery, we let customers pay on it monthly. It costs the same to frame an original as a print. We also have some beautiful giclees on canvas.

GET HELP
Even if you have good taste, it helps to have a designer.  Some only charge cost plus so you end
up paying no more than you would have originally.  They can also help you from costly mistakes that can't be returned.  The stores must show trendy things and its easy to get hung up with these things.
If you want you can use these things as small accents, then replace them when you get tired of them.
I love working with my clients to find special things that fit their taste and budget.

We are proud of our artists: oils and watercolors by Cletus Smith, and new and unique wooden sculptures by Gerald Smith.
